Guildford Plaza is located between Portsmouth Road and Bury Street, roughly 15 minutes’ walk from Guildford Train Station and a short walk to the town centre. The site lies within the Millmead and Portsmouth Road Conservation Area and has been vacant since 2000 when the former Burymead House office building was demolished and the site cleared.
The new proposals for Guildford Plaza look to create a modern, high-quality, co-living development, incorporating 300 new apartments set around a large hard and soft landscaped courtyard area. The proposals will include a range of communal spaces including lounge and dining areas, co-working spaces and meeting rooms, gym and yoga studios and a new publicly-accessible route through the site linking Portsmouth Road and Bury Street.
